Like many trainers in Newmarket, William Haggas struggled with the health of his horses for a good part of the Flat season. However, things have turned around with a vengeance recently and npo trainer in Britain is in better form.

The big Haggas hope today appears to be Mubtasim in the Weatherbys Hamilton 2YO Stakes (3.40) at Doncaster and he has a massive chance if he can bounce back from a poor run in the Gimcrack last time.

Mubtasim wouldn't be the first horse not to handle York, but it is worth noting he was a couple of points shorter to beat Blue Point and his pals than he is today and this is a considerably weaker race.
