Monday bets: find out who our experts are backing for the day's racing

Handicappers' nap

Jacob's Pillow (5.05 Ayr)

Capable sprinter on the northern circuit who usually pops up at least once a year. Hinted his turn was near last time and can make the most of the drop in grade.
Simon Turner

Eyecatcher

Nicholas T (4.00 Ayr)

Ran right up to his best to notch his fifth course win last week. A stronger overall gallop would have suited, but he's a useful type who can go in again this season.

Irish Angle

Risk Factor (8.40 Galway)

Runner-up on his debut at Ballinrobe in May, the Joseph O'Brien-trained four-year-old gave the impression that the experience gained and the stiffer demands of Galway will boost his chances. Fitted with a tongue-tie, he can score under 5lb claimer Tom Hamilton.
Tony O'Hehir

Speed Figures

Mukha Magic (6.40 Windsor)

Routed his rivals over course and distance a week ago, and from the foot of the handicap he can again conjure a winning spell.
Dave Edwards

Spotlight nap

Jacob's Pillow (5.05 Ayr)

Last win came off 15lb higher a year ago, but had a good front-running second here last week and should take some pegging back under Danny Tudhope, who he has previously scored under him three times.
Steve Boow

Dark horse

Hackle Setter (8.20 Windsor)

Sylvester Kirk's gelding ran with credit in some decent contests last year, but has been bitterly disappointing in three starts this term. He hinted at a return to form last time in a race that was not run to suit and the step back up to a mile looks a positive.
Ben Harris

Must-have stat of the day

Since the start of 2016, Andrew Balding is 5-16 with three-year-olds in handicaps at Ffos Las, a 31 per cent strike-rate. He runs Queen's Soldier in that race type at 8.00.
