Gordon Elliott has 24 runners across four different tracks today –nine at Down Royal, seven at Leopardstown, six at Limerick and he even sends two to Wetherby. Have horses, will travel!

The festive period will have a big say in the outcome of the Irish trainers' championship and, if Elliott can enter January with a lead of €400,000 or more, he will surely be hard to peg back.

The first big Elliott vs Mullins clash is in the Grade 2 Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle (1.15) at Leopardstown and Mega Fortune might be able to reverse Fairyhouse form with both Landofhopeandglory and Bapaume to extend the current pacesetter's lead.
