Miss Mirabeau can get Sir Mark back on the scoresheet

Brighton

Silvestre de Sousa has a full book of rides and Swilly Sunset (2.45) is probably his best chance of a win.

The four-year-old missed all of 2016 but has steadily improved since making his debut for Anthony Carson in March and won when returned to a mile at Yarmouth last time out. With De Sousa taking over in the saddle, he hit the front approaching the final furlong and was always holding on.

He appeared to have a bit left in the tank so a 3lb rise shouldn’t stop him.

Sir Mark Prescott had to settle for minor honours in the Northumberland Plate, but he can strike with MISS MIRABEAU (4.45).

The filly shaped with promise in three all-weather maidens early this year, especially when third at Lingfield in March. She has been given time and her pedigree suggests she could turn out a lot better than this grade.

Let's Be Happy (4.15) won over course and distance two weeks ago and should make another bold bid. He seemed to benefit from new cheekpieces that day and stayed on late to get up in the dying strides. Richard Hughes’s charge will be hard to beat if the headgear works equally well a second time.

Hamilton

Dutch Dream (5.00) has yet to seriously trouble the judge elsewhere, but she usually goes well on her visits to Hamilton, with two wins from four starts.

Her season started with three modest efforts, but she showed a good turn of foot to exploit a career-low mark over course and distance last month, coming home nearly two lengths clear of Cheeni.

A 5lb rise still leaves her on a workable mark and she can get the better of Spoken Words.

Chepstow

Miskin (8.10) made an encouraging debut for Robert Stephens over this course and distance last month and may be able to find the improvement required to land the 1m4f handicap.

The gelding won five times in France and kicked off life at his new base with a respectable third behind Grams And Ounces, who has won again since.

He looked like he would come on significantly for that first run after a six-month layoff.

Stratford

McCabe Creek (7.20) was unable to justify market support at Southwell last time but deserves another chance.

Making his debut for Caroline Bailey, he was quickly sent to the front by Harry Skelton but couldn’t quite match the finishing effort of Minella Tweet, who was completing a double.

He can race off the same mark and a repeat performance should be good enough in what looks a less competitive contest.
