What they say: 'He normally improves in the spring, and please God he can again'
Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle (Grade 1) | 3m | 4yo+ | Cheltenham, March 16
Emma Lavelle, trainer of Paisley Park
He's in very good form. The plan is to go to the Cleeve [Hurdle] but touch wood everything has gone as we've hoped. Kempton was extraordinary. The track wouldn't have suited but he went there and won it with his ears pricked. He's just an amazing horse and there's still lots to look forward to with him at Cheltenham.
Nicky Henderson, trainer of Buzz and Marie's Rock
We're happy and things have gone quite well since Buzz came back to the yard. We've got a long way to go and I've got to try to get a run into him, which I'll try to do in a month's time. That's possible and he's been up our grass gallops a couple of times and worked a mile and a quarter on Saturday. He's moving very well and seems very happy in himself. Reggie [Pallas] used to ride him every day before his injury and knows him like the back of his hand, and he's very pleased, which is important. When he won the Ascot Hurdle in 2021 we were getting quite excited about the Stayers' Hurdle and he did win the Cesarewitch two years ago after a break. I'm not getting too excited yet, but nothing is turning us off the idea. Marie's Rock has an entry too, but the Mares' Hurdle is most likely for her.
