Luck will be needed but Elliott fancy is the one to beat in Saturday's big race

It always amuses me when racing folk are confident enough to have an opinion on everything. I admire their self-belief but the truth of the matter is that we all get things wrong miles more often that we get things right and we shouldn’t be scared to say so.

Take the Grand National on Saturday. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen, and if there is one race in the world that has me more confused than any other since the fences were modified it’s this one. It’s just a shame it has to be the biggest one of all.

Don’t get me wrong, I will have an educated guess and will be trying as hard as I possibly can to find the winner, but unlike most races I simply cannot find a way in.
