Lingfield Placepot picks: Andrew Cooper relies on a pair of bankers on Wednesday

Harry Brown has run to a Racing Post Racing between 76 and 81 in all four starts and can overcome a wide draw in the 5f novice at 2.00.

None of the six can be discounted in the nursery over the same trip (2.30) so a couple of picks are needed. Pacey sorts in the outside two stalls could enable One More Olly and Thunder Ball, who tackles 5f for the first time, to settle better and show their true colours.

The 1m4f novice at 3.00 looks ripe for a banker and Naval College fits the bill. This Sir Michael Stoute-trained improver ought to place, at least.

There are several to consider in the mile handicap (3.30). Eton College has become dangerously well handicapped and he joins the more solid Plastic Paddy in the perm.

A couple of interesting three-year-olds take on their elders in the closing staying handicap (4.00). Miss Blennerhasset, in first-time blinkers, is preferred to At The Double, while four-year-old I Doubt That, who made the headlines when landing a monster gamble at Kempton in May, should also be included as he has more to offer at 2m.
