Kempton Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with his perm for the jumps fixture

Small fields make the Placepot hard at Kempton but it may pay if a few favourites are beaten.

The winner will be needed in the first two races and it’s hard to see past Call Of The Wild in the 2m novice hurdle (12.40). He looks a class apart judged on his Stratford second last time.

Any of the three runners could win the 2m2f novice chase (1.15), so include them all. That’s Atholl Street, Rockstar Ronnie and Sebastopol, who has strong form but finishes second a lot.

I want to take on My Sister Sarah in the 3m½f mares hurdle (1.50) and there are two who stand out. Getaway Totherock is my main selection, but Dragon Bones is also included.

The consistent Gortroe Joe looks a solid option in the 2m4½f handicap chase (2.25) but it’s also worth putting Vision Des Flos into the perm. He was in good form over the summer.

Khan won well at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago and is banker material in the 3m½f handicap hurdle (2.55), while Just The Man and See The Sea appeal in the finale (3.25).
