This son of Mahler was unlucky in the point-to-point sphere and shaped with a deal of promise on his bumper debut at Cork last Monday.

Given a patient ride by Derek O'Connor, he made smooth headway inside the final four furlongs and looked to have a chance until his effort began to flatten out close home. He wasn't given a hard time when his chance had gone and was beaten just over nine lengths.
