In-form Icelip bids to extend his enviable record at Tramore

Piltown trainer David O'Brien has made a couple of successful Tramore raids in the past year and a bit with his handicap hurdler Icelip, and the son of Urban Ocean is tasked with making it three wins in a row at the seaside venue in this feature handicap hurdle.

His victory in a 2m handicap hurdle at the June Bank Holiday fixture under today's pilot Sean Flanagan was his second win in a row in that particular contest, and he produced what was probably a career-best performance when an excellent second at Killarney last month having been slightly hampered when headed by the winner at the final flight.

He has never won off a rating as high as his current mark of 91, and the step up to 2m5f has not been successful in the past, but he seems to be a horse in a rich vein of form at present.
