Whelans Way was a surprise winner over 6f at Ascot last time but there was no fluke about it and he should be even better returned to 7f on quicker ground in the Alan Wood Plumbing & Heating Supporting WPCC Handicap at Doncaster (7.00).

After that win, Roger Fell said that Whelans Way was working as well as any three-year-old in his yard, which also houses Oxted, who ran to a Racing Post Rating of 106 recently.
