Mia's Storm will have to battle if she turns for home in contention in the RSA but the way in which she has cruised to victory on her last three starts suggests this is a very classy mare indeed. Having slammed a good handicap field in May over hurdles, two runs this autumn demonstrated she has taken extremely well to chasing. She stays 3m well and seems best on good or good to soft. It's too early to say with confidence whether she will go for the RSA or stick to calmer waters, but it's probably a positive sign that Alan King is planning to run her in the Grade 1 Kauto Star (formerly the Feltham) at Kempton on Tuesday.

Mengli Khan
Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle
7-1 generally
Mengli Khan is by far the standout Supreme contender at present, and odds of 7-1 should be snapped up. He looked every inch a potential star when winning the Grade 1 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle – a race that has produced Champion Hurdler winners Istabraq, Jezki and Hurricane Fly – at Fairyhouse on soft ground this month. Although Flat-bred, he has a huge physique and was probably too weak to do himself justice last year. Now he has strengthened into his frame, he looks the real deal, and better ground at Cheltenham is likely to suit him too.
