I don't like the Arc - but Prix du Jockey Club form could be key on Sunday

There are lots of things I don't like doing in this world but sometimes you just have to get on with it. For example, is there anyone who really likes getting their hair cut? It's a painful task from start to finish, but unless you want to look like Tom Hanks in Cast Away it's something that has to be done.

It's not quite on the same scale and it's hardly a third world problem, but at this time every year the thought of a week of constant Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe talk is like pulling teeth.

I've made it clear over the years that the Arc is one of my least favourite races. I simply don't understand its fascination, which coincides with the fact I never find the winner.
