Frankie Lor, who has struck a rich vein of form, is the trainer to follow as Happy Valley serves up a tricky ten-race card at one of its rare weekend fixtures on Sunday.

Not one favourite obliged in eight races on the Sha Tin dirt on Wednesday, but the Lor-trained Everyone's Delight is expected to prove a tonic for punters in the 1m½f handicap (8.10).

The five-year-old impressed last season, winning four from 11, and finished a nice second to champion Golden Sixty in a barrier trial this month and while trial form should never be taken literally, it was proof of his wellbeing.

Alexis Badel, who is holding down third spot in the jockeys' championship, rode Everyone's Delight to two of those wins and is back in the saddle. Zac Purton, who was aboard Everyone's Delight for his win last time, rides the consistent Smoothies, many times placed but on a losing streak since March last year.

Lor (13 wins) has moved into joint-second place in the trainers' championship, closing in on early leader David Hayes (14), and he looks ready to apply even more pressure at the top as his new purchases take to the track.

While We The South does not fit that description, he is still another poised to strike for the stable, in the 5f handicap (9.15), in which he can make use of his handy draw (stall five) and sit in behind the expected blistering early speed.

All five of We The South's wins have been recorded over course and distance and everything seems to have fallen in his favour here, though Keep You Warm, a new ride for Purton, hacked up in a similar race last season and has found his right mark.

Purton, out to capitalise again on the suspended Joao Moreira's absence, is tipped to take the 1m½f handicap (7.40) aboard the Richard Gibson-trained Ernest Feeling, who is 0-7 but has been placed five times.

More Than Enough, with Jerry Chau claiming a valuable 3lb, looks the biggest danger in a tricky heat.
