Honeysuckle's stint at the top is over - she's in decline now

The big freeze hit Britain badly last week and the cost to the industry of two blank Saturday afternoons in the run-up to Christmas, when there was no Premier League action, cannot be underestimated. It was terribly bad luck, but let’s hope we are through the worst of it now.

The great thing about jump racing is that, even when there is none taking place, we are never short of things to talk about and plenty of people seemed apoplectic after I moved Honeysuckle down to sixth place on my hurdles Power Rankings last week.

Where you think Honeysuckle stands in your own pecking order probably depends on your individual view of what it takes to be great, but for me she has never been outstanding.
