Hell's Kitchen could be too hot to handle in a big field

James Pyman's ones to watch

Hell’s Kitchen
Trainer: Harry Fry

2nd, Uttoxeter, November 3
This six-year-old has tons of natural ability. On his chasing debut last year he achieved a RPR of 140 despite pulling hard. Returning from a lengthy absence, this second chase outing was a step in the right direction. He again raced keenly, but settled a bit better in the first-time hood, and if connections are able to switch him off he will be capable of winning decent prizes. The tactical nature of this five-runner race counted against him. He will come alive in a big field and connections may already be thinking about possible big handicap targets.

High Bridge
Ben Pauling

3rd, Ascot, November 4
This 1m71/2f hurdle was a rough race and with six in line jumping the second-last so it's hard to weigh up the strength of the form. However, the finish was dominated by the fancied horses, and this prolific winner caught the eye on his return. This was only the fourth time in his last nine races he has tasted defeat - two of those reverses were respectable efforts in Cheltenham festival Grade 1s. His yard’s horses often need the run to tighten up making High Bridge a horse to note next time.

Disko
Noel Meade
Won, Down Royal, November 4
I will be following this horse over the proverbial cliff this season. Meade is adamant three miles is the Gigginstown Stud-owned chaser's trip, and the evidence of his runs in big festival novice chases last season supports his trainer’s view. Running over an inadequate 2m31/2f here, he outclassed his rivals, defying a Grade 1 penalty. The 2m4f John Durkan next month has been mentioned, but connections should think seriously about aiming high and targeting the King George. Disko has the right mix of speed and stamina for a sharp three miles and he is made for Kempton which rewards chasers ridden positively who get into a jumping rhythm.
