Graeme Rodway with an affordable perm for the Placepot at Chelmsford

Monday's Placepot insurance meeting is at ChelmsfordCredit: Alan Crowhurst

With Market Rasen off it’s Chelmsford that will host the Placepot insurance meeting so, if you go out in the first leg, the Tote will refund your money up to £10 (T&Cs apply).

That’s enough of an incentive to have a stab at the Essex track and the opening 6f handicap (1.10) looks a good opportunity for Jumira Bridge to complete a hat-trick of sprint wins.

Canimar should be placed in the 7f classified (1.40). She has finished second in competitive 7f events on two of her last three starts, including over course and distance, and is in form.

Al Ozzdi wasn’t beaten far over 1m2f at Newcastle last time and is interesting in first-time cheekpieces in the mile handicap (2.10). Glint Of An Eye looks the best alternative.

Glen Again is banker material in the 1m2f maiden (2.40) and The Good Ting should go close in the 6f handicap (3.10). Eyes completes the perm in the last leg, the mile handicap (3.40).
