Graeme Rodway reckons Dolos should be spot on for Peterborough assignment

Dolos recorded a big career-best Racing Post Rating when landing a 1m7½f handicap chase at Sandown in February and that is red-hot form.
He had the improving chaser First Flow half a length back in second and the runner-up has won four times since. First Flow was racing off a mark of 140 there, receiving 22lb from Dolos, but he is now rated 154 and the front two were 14 lengths clear of the rest.
Dolos disappointed at Doncaster 28 days later, but he runs his best races fresh and may have found that coming too soon. He proved the form all wrong at this course on his reappearance.
The seven-year-old was beaten nine and a half lengths into fourth of 13 behind Rouge Vif in a 2m handicap chase off top weight on that return in October and caught the eye doing good late work, shaping as though he is in need of a longer trip.
Nicholls nominated this as the target in his Racing Post stable tour after, suggesting 2m4f on a speed track might be ideal for Dolos.
Obviously Cheltenham is more of a stamina test than Huntingdon, where this race was originally due to take place, but Dolos proved he has no issue with the undulations here last time and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t stay the trip.
The extra distance might even bring improvement and he should be spot on here after a 49-day break.
