Graeme Rodway has eight lines for the Placepot at Wolverhampton on Monday

Credit: Jon Winter

There are plenty of handicaps in the Placepot at Wolverhampton and that might bolster the dividend.

The opener (4.15) looks like a good opportunity for Woodside Wonder, who was second over course and distance last time. Zafaranah is well handicapped and looks the best alternative.

Prince Of Abington sets the standard in division one of the 6f novice (4.50) and it’s hard to get away from Batraan in the second division (5.20). First-time blinkers should do the trick.

Eye Of The Water loves finishing second and can’t be left out in the 6f handicap (5.50). Paddy Power is well handicapped and his last win came on this surface at Newcastle.

Arabian Warrior will be hard to beat in the 1m6f handicap (6.20), but he will carry plenty of units. It’s worth having him in and putting in an insurance policy in Baladio.

Tathmeen was an unlucky loser over course and distance last time and rates banker material in the first division of the 5f handicap (6.50). It will be disappointing if he doesn’t place.
