Graeme Rodway bids to land the Windsor Placepot for the second week in a row

Credit: Edward Whitaker

Having landed the Placepot with my perm in this column at Windsor last Monday it makes sense to try and repeat the feat, so let’s have another go at the Thameside venue.

The first race (4.25) might not be as open as it initially looks and the recent consistent form of Zulu Zander makes him banker material.

Richard Hughes rode plenty of juvenile winners for Richard Hannon at Windsor and appears to have found a good opportunity for Aussie Stormer in the 5f maiden (4.55).

Zoffarelli will be popular in the 6f novice event (5.30) but Hot Scoop might be more solid coming here after back-to-back wins at Bath with Saffie Osborne claiming 7lb.

Ice Age has some good course form and is worth including with Hector Loza in the first division of the 6f handicap (6.00).

The second division (6.30) looks more open and I’m going to stick with the two horses with the best draws. That’s Broughtons Gold from stall one and Doc Sportello from two.

Kodiellen narrowly failed to make the places for us in last week’s perm but she remains in good form and is taken along with Cesifire (7.00).
