Crossed Baton (2.45 Epsom, nap)

John Gosden has a fine record in this Derby trial and is fancied to extend his good run with this son of Dansili, who put up a most resilient performance to score on his return at Kempton last month. The three-year-old has since impressed on the Al Bahathri.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Bennachie (7.40 Taunton, nap)

Well treated on the best of his old form and should be hard to beat off the same mark as when scoring in good fashion at Plumpton last week.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Christopher Wood (5.00 Epsom)
Finished an encouraging second on his seasonal return at Newmarket six days ago and may deservedly go one better.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Demi Sang (6.40 Punchestown)

Things didn't go to plan at Cheltenham last time out, but remains unexposed and should have more to offer in a wide-open race.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Next Destination (4.55 Punchestown)

The step up to three miles should suit Next Destination who finished off well when third in the Ballymore Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham last month. Already a Grade 1 winner over two and a half miles, he gets the vote to score for Paul Townend and Willie Mullins.

The Raceform Interactive nugget

Robin Dickin's last four chasers to head to Taunton have all won. Bally Lagan, responsible for a couple of those wins, tries to keep that streak going in the 7.40.
