Gosden newcomer looks to be a perfect bet for punters

Credit: Alan Crowhurst

Newmarket: David Milnes

Perfection (6.55 Chelmsford, nap)

John Gosden has a host of newcomers left to run this winter and this daughter of Dutch Art could be one of the better ones. The chestnut has been showing up well on Long Hill of late and is well drawn.

Others to follow
Southwell 12.40 Wardy, 1.45 Piazon, 3.50 Caledonian Gold.
Chelmsford 5.25 Shadow Seeker, 5.55 Catapult, 6.25 Blessed To Empress, 7.25 William Sayle, 7.55 Thaqaffa.

Lambourn: James Burn

Sunshade(1.25 Ludlow, nap)

From a family Nicky Henderson knows well, this smooth Fakenham bumper winner looks a decent prospect for hurdling and should take some stopping.

Others to follow
Chelmsford 5.55 Blue Candy, 6.25 Chizz De Biz, 6.55 Jamaican Jill.
Ludlow 2.25 Haul Away, 4.00 Cubswin.
Southwell 12.40 Mach One.
Taunton 3.10 Sureness, 3.40 Princeton Royale, 4.10 Court Out.

West Country: Andrew King

Contented (1.35 Taunton, nap)

Shaped encouragingly behind a couple of promising sorts on hurdling debut and, with this step up in distance expected to suit, he can open his account.

Others to follow
Ludlow 1.25 Cockney Wren.
Taunton 1.05 Ridgeway Flyer, 2.05 Midnight Magic, 2.35 New Millenium, 3.10 Midnight Gypsy, 3.40 Resolution Bay, 4.10 Ringa Ding Ding.

North: Colin Russell

Quiet Moment(12.40 Southwell, nap)

Off the mark at Ayr last month and was well clear of the rest when runner-up to an in-form rival over course and distance on her all-weather debut last time. Fancied to go one better.

Others to follow
Chelmsford 5.25 Royal Crown, 6.25 Magic Pulse, 8.25 Huddersfilly Town, 8.55 Pegi Browne.
Ludlow 3.00 Cowslip, 3.30 Miami Present, 4.00 Titan.
Southwell 1.15 The Jungle VIP, 1.45 Midnight Malibu, 2.15 Corton Lass, 2.45 Take The High Road, 3.20 Mister Showman, 3.50 Chaucer's Tale.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

(3.10 Taunton, nap)

Should strip fitter for her recent reappearance and could prove well treated on her handicap debut if reproducing the form of her narrow defeat in a Listed bumper last season.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Contented(1.35 Taunton)

Made an encouraging hurdling debut at Wincanton last month and this step up in trip may bring out the best in the Philip Hobbs-trained four-year-old.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Midnight Magic (2.05 Taunton)

Shown little of note so far but takes a massive step up in trip and goes handicapping off a lowly mark of 95, so could have more to offer.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Monstrosity (3.55 Clonmel)

The Noel Meade-trained five-year-old made an encouraging start to the season when runner-up at Galway last month. The son of Mahler had finished third at Killarney in May on his only previous start and looks the pick.
