Goodwood Placepot picks: Paul Kealy is happy to take on Classic-placed pair

is quite a strong fancy for the opener (1.50) at Goodwood, but it's a competitive race and hardly one for a banker when it comes to the Placepot.

I'll be adding , who was a fine second to a decent horse at Royal Ascot, and , who was fourth in the July course handicap which is usually a good pointer to this.

One horse who does look banker material is in the Richmond (2.25). He bolted up here on his second start before running third in the Coventry, which has already worked out really well with the second winning the July Stakes and the fourth landing the Prix Robert Papin.

won so well in handicap company last time that it's easy to see him taking the step up in class in his stride in the Gordon Stakes (3.00) but I also want to add , who has lots to find but shaped like a classy three-year-old at Newbury. Derby runner-up Hoo Ya Mal is left out.

Nashwa might well end up the best filly who ran in the Oaks as she didn't stay when third and then won the Prix de Diane. However, with the three-year-old form having taken some knocks, I'm opposing her with older horses in the Nassau (3.35). and are the two I like best.

Handicap debutants and , both from the same Newbury maiden, are my two in the nursery (4.10), while I'm hoping and will get among the action in a desperately tricky final leg.
