Not since Rock Critic landed a gamble in 2011 has Dermot Weld won the mile handicap (3.10), but Wentwood can bridge that eight-year gap under Ben Coen.

There are a few pieces of evidence which suggest Wentwood could be well treated if things fall into place. He beat Constantinople at Cork in April off a mark of 82 and Aidan O'Brien's charge is now rated 13lb higher than he was at the time.
