Racing Post Ratings: Paul Curtis

Mont Kiara(4.35 Newmarket, nap)

Ran his three best races last season in June/July at this track, including a win off 6lb higher than today in a big 6f handicap. His better figures are at that trip, but he also has form here over 5f that makes him well handicapped for this return to the July course.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Ekhtiyaar (3.00 Newmarket)

A beaten favourite at York last time, but successful here in May and should be given a chance to make amends.

Longshot: Ed Quigley

Soie D’Leau (4.35 Newmarket)

Not at his best lately, but is a course-and-distance winner who will enjoy the ground and should be competitive off a mark of 92.

Ireland: Tony O’Hehir

Windsor Beach (7.55 Leopardstown)

The course-and-distance winner performed well when second to Sea Wolf at the Curragh on his most recent start and, back up in distance, Seamie Heffernan’s mount gets the vote.
