Four lines and several shorties beaten? Check out this bold Placepot perm

Ludlow has small fields and the way to Sedgefield's Placepot looks expensive, so preference is for Taunton. That is in spite of the opening seller, in which it seems best to play safe with Mizen Master over others whose form is over further.

After stablemate Ranch Hand's win at Exeter on Tuesday, Diocletian is likely to be popular, but accordingly short. We are too sparse on alternatives to leave him out, but pair him with the well-bred Atholl Street and hope for the best.

Taking on Tomorrow Mystery seems even more hopeful, but Robinshill suits whizzing round tracks like this and can be taken as a decent backup. The following feature chase has a similarly precarious field size, but One Forty Seven plus On Tour will hopefully be enough.

The last two legs ought to be cheap enough. Zarrar has more solid form behind him than favourite Aggy With It in the 3.15, then Falcon Sun looks to have more going for him than win odds imply in the 3.45.
