With Nina Carberry expecting her first child, former pony racing star Danny Benson appears set for some good opportunities on bumper horses trained by Noel Meade.

Having grown too tall during his time as a Flat apprentice with Ger Lyons, Benson first turned his attention to jump racing with some success a few seasons ago.

His winners included a good handicap prize at Navan in November 2014 on Pencilhimin.
