Rum Runner had no chance at Sandown on Saturday having been held up at the back off a pedestrian early gallop but he shaped as though he was in great shape by staying on late and, back at 7f, expect a much more positive ride in the the Porsche Centre Cambridge Handicap at Newmarket (4.45).

He was a facile course and distance over course and distance last season the only time today's rider Tom Queally has ridden him and he can race off a 2lb lower mark.
