>>Golden Flowerpower traded at 990 in running on Betfair despite making virtually all in Roscommon’s opener. The 15-8 chance briefly looked to be coming off second best in a battle with 8-11 market leader Theatre Wine close home, but the angle proved deceptive and Golden Flowerpower held on to sting backers who matched more than £16,000 on the second at 1.01.

>>He Rock’s landed a gamble in the 3m1½f handicap chase. The 9-4 joint-favourite was backed from an opening 11-4 and never looked like being caught after jumping off into a lengthy lead as the tape lifted.

>>Austin Friars looked in trouble when getting reminders early in the 2m novice handicap hurdle at Plumpton, but the 12-1 chance made good headway in the straight and outstayed Bolister (hit 1.51) after trading at 490.
