Fanfair denies backers who took short prices on Retribution

>>Fanfair kept on well to repel the challenge of Retribution in the 1m2f handicap at Lingfield and deny those who had backed the runner-up to a low of 1.04 in running on Betfair. The 15-2 winner touched a high of 16.

>>Cut The Corner defied a high of 95 when landing the 2m4f handicap chase at Uttoxeter.

The 11-2 winner appeared to have been left for dead by the strong-travelling Hepijeu when he kicked on going well at the second-last, but he had helped set a decent pace and tied up badly after hitting a low of 1.29.
