This five-year-old had useful form on turf for Ralph Beckett, but has looked an improved performer since being gelded and switched to the all-weather by leading sprint trainer Robert Cowell.

Encore D'Or quickened up well to win going away by a length in a race dominated by those ridden more prominently on his first start since being gelded at Chelmsford in November and can be forgiven two subsequent defeats.
