Exeter Placepot picks: Tom Segal with manageable perm for a tricky card

It will be a huge surprise if there is a horse anywhere near as good as last season's winner Monmiral in the opening juvenile hurdle (12.30) at Exeter. Those with form haven't shown anything and most of the juveniles were moderate on the Flat.

Consequently, the safest option is I'm The Diva for the Nick Williams team, who have a good record with juvenile hurdlers and won the race a few years ago.

Any of the four runners could win the following MansionBet Bet £10 Get £20 Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (1.00) but Tight Call was the best hurdler and goes well fresh, while the Paul Nicholls-trained Oscars Moonshine has the advantage of a recent run.

Even under a penalty for her recent Stratford win, Gazette Bourgeoise is going to be hard to kick out of the frame in the mares' novice hurdle (1.30) but two will probably be needed to get through the MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase (2.00).

Recent course and distance winner St Erney will surely go well again under talented 7lb claimer Harry Kimber from only a 5lb higher mark, while White Moon is thrown in on his old form and could easily bounce back now for the rejuvenated Tizzard team.

A bit like the novice handicap chase earlier on the card, all five runners have claims of sorts in the MansionBet Watch And Bet Handicap Chase (2.30). Killer Kane and Midnight Midge make the most appeal.

Finally, it is worth banking on the Milton Harris-trained Mi Laddo in the final Placepot leg (3.00). He appeared to win with plenty in hand at Taunton last time and this isn't a strong race.
