Evening Angles: three runners to note based on Racing Post stats

Goodwood: race this evening

Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on trainer form, RPRs and, tonight's wild card, first-time headgear . . .

Trainer form

Guildsman
6.30 Goodwood
Angle: Archie Watson is operating at a strike-rate of 24 per cent

Archie Watson has got off to an excellent start this campaign, particularly with his juvenile runners, and saddles debutant Guildsman at Goodwood this evening.

The son of Wootton Bassett, who was purchased for €125,000 at the Arqana breeze-up sales, has the assistance of Oisin Murphy in the saddle and is worth keeping a close eye on.

Ratings

Kylie Rules
8.30 Haydock
Angle: holds the highest RPR in the field

Kylie Rules bids to add to Ruth Carr's good form of late and the four-year-old, who is seeking a five-timer, seems to have a huge chance of adding another victory to her CV as she comes out clear on RPRs in this five-runner field.

Despite carrying a penalty, the daughter of Aussie Rules commands plenty of respect and the drop back to 7f should not present any issues.

Wild card

Snow In Spring
6.10 Bath
Angle: sports a visor for the first time

The lightly raced Snow In Spring makes his handicap debut this evening for Ralph Beckett and is fitted with a visor for the first time.

Steadily progressive on his three starts in novice company, Snow In Spring is in good hands for improvement given Beckett operates at a 17 per cent strike-rate when such headgear is applied.
