Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on course form, RPRs and a first-time gelding.

Course specialist

Andrea Atzeni
6.45 Doncaster
Angle: jockey has a strong record riding at the course

Andrea Atzeni has established himself as 'Mr Doncaster' with a string of big-race successes at the track. Overall, the rider has a 24 per cent strike-rate when riding at the course and makes the journey from Leicester this afternoon. Fujaira Prince, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, is chasing a hat-trick on his handicap debut.

Ratings

Dance Teacher
7.45 Doncaster
Angle: top-rated on RPRs and a return to last winning official mark

Dance Teacher makes her seasonal debut and is top-rated, along with Florenza, on RPRs for this seven furlong contest. She is back down to her last winning mark of 81 and has Silvestre de Sousa returning to the saddle for the first time since that win. De Sousa has a 100 per cent record on the mare, which should boost her chances.

Wild card

Basilisk
8.30 Wolverhampton
Angle: first-time gelded

Basilisk ran only once as a two-year-old, finishing last but one in a Kempton novice event. He has been gelded since, and trainer Roger Charlton has a good record with horses running for the first time since the operation, boasting a 24 per cent strike-rate with said runners.
