Elliott and Cooper can strike it lucky again at Navan on Sunday

The last time Navan staged a Sunday fixture Gordon Elliott won six of the seven races and, with a team of 13 runners on duty here, he will fancy his chances of at least a double or maybe even a treble this time.

Elliott runs four in the Tara Handicap Hurdle (1.20) and the one I like, a lot, is Automated who was cursed with bad luck in a valuable handicap hurdle over 2m at Fairyhouse last time.

Obviously, he was not as unlucky as stablemate Campeador who came down at the last with the race at his mercy, but things did not go well for Automated's rider Denis O'Regan who saw numerous gaps close on him up the home straight.
