A course winner in a June maiden also won by two recent scorers, Boynton was considerably greener than War Decree in the Superlative Stakes, but still pulled out a bit extra close home. He must now concede a 3lb penalty to the runner-up.

Isomer was a fine runner-up to Churchill in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last month and was then a comfortable maiden winner at Salisbury despite a slipping saddle. However, he looks held by the Superlative pair on a couple of counts through Cunco.
