Doncaster Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway runs you through his Thursday perm

The ITV3 cameras are at Doncaster this afternoon and that should bolster the Placepot pool.

The opening 6f handicap (1.10) is a tough starter. Mountain Brave wasn’t beaten far after a short break at Salisbury last time and could go well. Call Me Ginger is the best alternative.

Gnat Alley looks one of the best bets of the day in the 6½f nursery (1.40) and must be included. Daiquiri Francais is on a hat-trick and looks likely to be the biggest danger.

Claim The Stars has sound each-way claims in the 6½f sales race (2.10), but it’s wide open so Harrow is also worth including. He stays this trip well and could run on late into a place.

Inspiral can’t be left out in the Group 2 Cazoo May Hill Stakes (2.40), but it’s worth putting Prosperous Voyage in just in case the favourite disappoints. That would bolster the dividend.

Urban Artist ran well at Goodwood last time and is a lively outsider in the following Group 2 Hippo Pro3 Park Hill (3.15). Save A Forest shapes like she will improve for this trip and is also included.

Motawaajed won well over course and distance last time and is a banker in the 7f handicap (3.45).
