Doncaster Placepot picks: Paul Kealy with his perm for the Group 1 card

Given the field sizes, Doncaster looks the most appealing destination for a Placepot even though conditions are going to be really tough.

The opener is certainly not easy but looks a big player back at 7f as he hasn't been getting home over further but still shaped really well last time.

, second under similar conditions off a higher mark here last November, goes in too, as does , another fine on the ground.

and are two with decent soft-ground credentials in the next (1.55), but there isn't much form on the surface to go on in the third (2.30).

handled a bit of cut last time and she looks tough, so she goes in along with , who is back in his right grade.

It's banker time in the next (3.00) as takes a drop down in trip and class and should be very hard to beat.

Many will have Auguste Rodin down as a banker in the Vertem Futurity (3.35) as well, but his form is nowhere near as hot as his odds imply, so I'm having some back-up

Autumn Stakes runner-up Epictetus is the obvious one, but is the suggestion as this big unit clearly relishes deep ground and could be anything.

That just leaves the 5f sprint (4.10) and the two who stand out are , third in the last two Portlands, and , who shaped well on his first run back after a wind op last time.
