David Baxter with his best two-year-old bet at Redcar on Sunday

Saint Lawrence
1.45 Redcar
1pt winThere was a temptation to tip a double for in-form Roger Varian on this card, as newcomer Rumaythah (1.15) looks like she could make a winning start, but I'm siding with Saint Lawrence, who has good form in the book.

Fourth on debut over 6f at Newmarket, Saint Lawrence shaped well that day, and stepping up to 7f looks a very good move on pedigree. The form of that race is already working out well, with Jimmy Sparks (sixth) and London Palladium (last of 11) winning next time out.

Varian has a 40 per cent strike-rate at the track with his two-year-olds in the last five seasons (two from five) and Saint Lawrence looks to have a good chance of providing another win at the venue.
