Course winner can come good in Gordon

Count on Khalidi to underline his St Leger claims in the Qatar Gordon Stakes (3.00) at Goodwood.

Never a threat in the Derby, he showed his true colours in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot when beaten half a length by the ultra-tough and smart Permian.

Many expect Crystal Ocean to reverse that form, but Khalidi had also clocked a smart figure when winning the Cocked Hat Stakes at this track and that course form may again give him the edge.
