Course-and-distance winner can bounce back to form off lenient mark

Briardale won last year's Zetland Gold Cup by six lengths off a mark of 90. On Wednesday he can run over the same course and distance off an 11lb lower mark in the William Hill 2 Clear Handicap at Redcar (5.30).

The huge drop in the weights is due to his poor form since, but there have been strong hints that he was on the way back the last twice, despite pulling too hard over further.
