Consistent performer worth backing given new jockey's claim
No. 5
Court King
1.35 Bangor
1pt win at 9-2 generallyCourt King has been running consistently well over hurdles and fences this summer and autumn and, although only third of four when favourite at Sedgefield last month, he was giving weight away to a pair of unexposed rivals and I don't think he ran far off his best.
He has been dropped 1lb for that and, having been routinely ridden by Sean Bowen this year, now gets the assistance of younger brother James, who can take off a further 5lb.
That surely makes him a big player in this contest and his course form - a win and a second from two runs - bolsters the confidence.
