Catterick Placepot picks: Richard Birch has four bankers in his Tuesday perm

Kick off the Catterick Placepot by banking on Nocte Volatus in the conditional jockeys' handicap chase (12.10).

Tom Lacey's novice would have made an impressive winning debut over fences had he not fallen when more than 15 lengths clear at Market Rasen, and compensation awaits.

The form of Midnight Centurion's neck Uttoxeter second to Geromino in October looks strong in light of that winner’s subsequent successes at Sedgefield and Huntingdon.

Geromino is now rated 133, so it will be disappointing if Midnight Centurion cannot land the maiden hurdle (12.45).

His stablemate Representing Bob should also go well in the 3m1f handicap chase (1.25), but don't rule out low-weighted Eagle De Guye, who is fitted with the tongue-tie and visor combination for the first time.

Hungry Tiger makes plenty of each-way punting appeal in the 2m3f handicap hurdle (2.00), a race which should also see Coup De Gold, runner-up on four of his last five starts, finish in the frame again.

Wheelbahri has a big run in him off 78 and the novice handicap chase could provide the right opportunity.

Auditoria, the sole runner at the meeting for Olly Murphy, stands out in the mares' novice hurdle (3.02).
