Brave Opal Tiara sparkles in edging out fancied rivals

The feature race of the day in Britain - the Group 3 Supreme Stakes at Goodwood - produced a thrilling three-way finish with Opal Tiara coming out on top at 9-1.

The three-year-old is improving and has now won three of her last four, but she had to be brave with Convey and Jallota challenging either side of her in the straight.

Punters it seemed thought she might be edged out as she hit an in-running high of 50 on Betfair - Convey traded at 1.33 and Jallota 1.81 - but the daughter of Thousand Words fended them off.
