Bolt can't summon pace to land gamble at Sandown

A competitive 2m handicap chase at Sandown was won in battling fashion by the veteran Grey Gold, who thwarted a mighty gamble on runner-up Dream Bolt.

Although he’d completed a hat-trick by winning on his first start for 16 months four weeks ago, Dream Bolt was priced up on Friday night by somes firms as the 16-1 outsider of eight, but he went off clear favourite.

He also traded at 1.53 in running but just couldn’t get to the ultra game winner.
