Blueyes should not be underestimated despite Charli tumble

vvCharli Parcs was expected to cement his Cheltenham claims in the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton, but looked unlikely to win even if he was still in with a chance when falling at the second-last.

Quite how he got matched at a low of 1.29 in running on Betfair is anyone’s guess as he wasn’t travelling well turning for home and, while he was almost upsides two out, winner Master Blueyes was still cantering.

Alan King’s juvenile had been well and truly thumped by Charli Parcs over course and distance in December, but he’d bolted up in a weak race at Ludlow since and there didn’t look to be any fluke about his victory. Quotes of 16-1 for the Triumph Hurdle straight after the race looked very fair.
