Backers take another hit on Retour En France

Retour En France was turned over at odds-on for the second time in as many starts for the Willie Mullins’ stable when beaten in Sligo’s opener at 1-3.

Ruby Walsh attempted to make all on the hotpot and the pair were matched at 1.03 in running on Betfair when going well turning for home. However, Retour En France was edged out by 11-2 shot Presenting Mahler, who was pushed to a high of 46.

Eqtiraan disappointed backers at a low of 1.1 when proving no match for Smokey Lane in the 6f conditions race at Salisbury.
