The son of Kodiac is entitled to have needed time to settle in to new surroundings having joined Rebecca Menzies only in August and it might be worth giving him the benefit of the doubt for his two runs last month.

On the first occasion he found a fair amount of trouble before finishing last at Chester on ground that was probably on the slow side for him, while he failed to settle early on when beating only one home at Newcastle. The surface there might not have suited, either.
