Returning chaser can score off tasty mark dropping in class

1pt win at 7-2 generallyThere are obvious risks with a horse returning after a bad season, but if he had made his reappearance in this race last year off today's mark of 134 Testify would have been nearer 2-9 than 9-2, so it's a risk worth taking.

Testify looked a novice chaser of some potential two seasons ago, winning three in a row on bad ground and going off at just 11-1 for the novice handicap at the Cheltenham Festival off a mark of 145.

However, he made no show there or at Aintree and was most disappointing in a truncated campaign last term, showing very little.
