Ascot Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with his perm for the quality fixture

There is plenty of quality on show at Ascot and that is the meeting for the Placepot.

The opening mile classified event (1.55) looks strong and the consistent Tahitian Prince should be capable of a bold bid. Put Bonneval, another reliable type, in with him.

The 1m4f novice (2.30) looks tricky. Bartzella is the most likely winner, but she was turned over at 1-5 last time and there are only two places available here. Put Country Pyle in too.

The Listed Noel Murless Stakes (3.05) is between Scope and Chalk Stream, so include them both.

Prop Forward has made good progress in three outings and looks the most likely winner of the 6f handicap (3.40).

Indianapolis has some good form at Ascot and could be a lively outsider in the 2m handicap (4.15). He isn’t consistent enough to be a banker, so include Royaume Uni as well.

Farasi Lane is one of my best bets of the day in the 7f handicap (4.50) and rates a banker.
